FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Electric ruby-colored in the glass, with hints of sandalwood and vanilla on the nose.
TASTING NOTES: Dry and medium-bodied, a harmonious balance of earth and fruit flavors, sage and raspberry, luxuriously spicy with velvet tannins.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: RoseHybiscus pairs well with zesty barbeque, charcuterie, and classic Italian and Spanish dishes. Decant and chill in the freezer for 10 minutes before serving at 55° - 65° F.
ORANGE WINE? In popular wine vernacular, "orange wine" typically refers to white-wine grapes fermented like many red-grape wines where the skins are left to macerate with the juice. Our RoseHybiscus is something else entirely. We combine flower petals and whole oranges—not grapes—during primary fermentation, after which the wine is racked and casked to mature on the lees. There is no residual orange or citrus flavor, as the floral character of the wine shines through.
